Abstract

常规的图像形成装置存在在省电模式不能变更设定信息的问题。图像形成装置(F1)包括接口单元(F12),即使在省电模式也可向PC客户机发送信号和接收信号;信息存储单元(F14),在提供请求变更设定状态时提供电源而变为可响应;和SNMP控制单元(F11),在从PC客户机请求时控制信息存储单元(F14)。因此起动信息存储单元(F14)可以变更设定信息,如图像形成装置的指定仿真和记录在图像形成装置(F1)的信息存储单元(F14)的用户账户信息。常规技术为了检查图像形成装置的设定信息变更功能单元是否处于起动状态,外部终端设备必须重复询问直到图像形成装置的变更设定信息的功能单元变为起动状态。该问题通过以下功能解决:响应外部终端设备的询问,以直到起动时间进行回答的功能和报告功能单元中的电源模式的差异的功能。
In a conventional image forming apparatus, there is a problem in which setting information cannot be changed in power-saving mode. An image forming apparatus F1 includes an interface unit F12 that transmits and receives signals to and from a PC client even in power-saving mode, an information storage unit F14 that is supplied with power to become responsive when a request for changing a setting state is provided, and an SNMP control unit F11 that controls the information storage unit F14 upon request from the PC client. Therefore, by starting the information storage unit F14, it is possible to change the setting information, such as a specified emulation of the image forming apparatus and user account information recorded on the information storage unit F14 of the image forming apparatus F1. Also, in conventional technology, in order to check whether a setting-information changing function unit of the image forming apparatus is in a startup state, an external terminal device has to repeatedly make an inquiry until a functional unit of changing the setting information of the image forming apparatus becomes in a startup state. This problem is solved by providing a function of replying with a time until startup in response to an inquiry from the external terminal device and a function of reporting a difference in power mode among functional units.
